    July 1, 2017
    Welcome Mansfeld Students and Parents/Guardians:

I want to officially welcome all of you to the 2017-2018 school year! I am privileged to return as your Principal and feel honored to work with highly qualified and dedicated staff, our wonderful students, and all of the supportive parents/guardians. In my educational experience as a teacher, counselor, and administrator I understand the importance of building lasting relationships with each and every single member of the Bulldog community. I am looking forward to catching up with returning families and meeting our newest Bulldogs.

My greatest initiative is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a safe school environment and deliver effective instruction to meet the needs of all students. As a Nationally recognized STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) school of distinction, our curriculum focus includes STEM practices that will be academically challenging, engaging, and relevant. Furthermore, it will be based on a deep commitment to student success, both academic and social, as we strive daily to pursue our school’s motto “Mansfeld’s Quest to be the Best.”

The middle school years are critical times of development for students and families alike, and I want to encourage your cooperation and involvement during these years to provide your child the best educational experience possible. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.

We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

    1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience

    2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers

    3) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life

    4) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

    5) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school.

You can stay informed by reviewing our Mansfeld website or Facebook page; it is a great resource in providing up-to-date information. http://edweb.tusd1.org/Mansfeld/ In addition, please consider joining our school PTSO program as our students can greatly benefit from your involvement and contributions to the school’s program and its operations.

It’s going to be a great year. The faculty, staff and administration are looking forward to meeting and working with all of you in the coming school year.

On the Main Website page, you will find important information about student registration and the beginning of the school year.

    Sincerely,

    Richard Sanchez
